Pitter-Patter
Yesterday, in an alternate and Covid-free universe, I got on a plane bound for Paris. It was a trip planned with my family, two years in the making, and I HOPE I’ll one day get to tell you all about it.
But the thing I’m learning from this pandemic, the silver lining I’m choosing to focus on, is that flexibility is everything. Being able to change plans and leap forwards in a new direction without being crushed by the “should have been’s” is something that can be both learned and embraced. I’m a planner, so some days this feels like an impossible line of thinking - but I’m getting better the more I work at it.
SO - knowing that we’re going to be spending a whole lot of time close to home, Eric and I made the decision to move our fall/winter plans up to spring. And now, the pitter-patter of puppy paws is once again echoing through our home. If the past few days are any indication, the next few months will be filled with a little less sleep but a lot more laughter.
Prepare for the cuteness - as soon as things settle there will be plenty on the way!
