This is What it Feels Like

Sometimes when I’m making things, I get this feeling in my chest - it’s a warmth, a glow. I know I talk about joy a lot, but this feeling transcends even that. It’s just WHOLENESS. Quiet, solid, wholeness.

I’ve been feeling that feeling more and more over the past year or so - but have been at a loss of how to share it (and there’s no doubt in my mind that it’s a feeling that must be shared). There just aren't words.

Luckily, though, there’s music. And video, too (because, if a still picture is worth a thousand words, what happens if you make that picture move?). After collecting little snippets of my making over the past few months and practicing guitar chords like crazy, I wanted to gift you a small, bright glimpse into the place this work comes from. It’s a little vulnerable, perfectly imperfect, and about as honest as I can get.

The new collection will be released in just a couple days and I will definitely have more to say about this little slice of my creative life on Instagram, but for now I can’t string it together. So let me just say that this is what it feels like - that creative spark - and I hope you can feel the warmth, wherever you are.

A little glimpse into the making of my Summer 2020 collection...with a little music thrown in just for fun! Song is "What I Wouldn't Do" by A Fine Frenzy
