Coyote

Resilient.

What an exceptionally important word to hold close to our hearts - especially now, with our world shifting and changing beneath our feet from minute to minute. Being able to bounce back, to overcome, to find new ways to exist is everything.

And no one knows this better than Coyote.

As his habitat changes, the wild places shrinking, he changes too - and SURVIVES. I’ve seen Coyote weaving in and out of the eucalyptus in Golden Gate Park. Watched him trot between the shadows of ancient saguaros in Tucson. Heard him yip-yip-yipping in the night outside my bedroom windows here in Northern Colorado.

No matter the climate, the altitude, the situation, Coyote makes it work (and makes it look easy while doing so). And that’s certainly something to aspire to.
